SOA 378: Urban Issues and Public Policy

Prerequisite: SOA 101 or SOA 111

A multidisciplinary exploration of the challenges facing cities today. Drawing on a variety of theories, findings and methodologies, the course examines and critiques current urban issues such as poverty, housing, crime and public education, as well as the public policies associated with them. This course serves as an upper-level elective for majors and non-majors.
