PHY 561: Intro to Quantum Field Theory - fall
Quantum field theory for beginning graduate and advanced undergraduate students. This course introduces relativistic quantum field theory in terms of unification of Einstein¿s special theory of relativity and quantum theory. It focuses on the connection and reconciliation between the symmetry principles underlying relativity and quantum theory. Topics include relativistic Hamiltonian, Lagrangian formulations of mechanical and field theories, and the role of symmetries in physical models.
