LAW 724: White Collar Crime - fall
Prerequisite: Law 520 & 521
An introduction to federal white collar practice. The course reviews principles of individual and corporate criminal liability, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and DOJ charging policies; grand jury procedure and Fifth and Sixth Amendment issues during investigations; and enforcement areas including health care fraud, the False Claims Act, and securities fraud. Grading based on class participation, midterm, and final exam.
