Submit your housing application (in April, or after you deposit)
If you’ve chosen to live on campus, you can start the housing application soon after you have submitted your deposit and activated your UMassD account. The Housing and Residential Education Office will send you an email to your UMass Dartmouth email account when you have been set up to access the housing application, within the Housing Portal.
When can I choose a room? How do I choose a roommate? What are “engagement communities” and how do I choose one?
The first step is to sign the housing contract, enter emergency contacts, and other information such as ADA Accommodations, and then you’ll be on your way to roommate matching or requests. Once you gain access to the Housing Portal (information emailed to your UMassD email address), you’ll find a “New Students” section with links and information to get started, as well as helpful videos from the housing team to walk you through the process!
