Catholic Campus Ministry
We welcome you to the Newman Catholic Ministry Community at UMass Dartmouth
Catholic Campus Ministry is the "parish" for students at UMass Dartmouth. We provide opportunities for students to celebrate the sacraments, learn more about the Catholic faith, put faith into practice through service and engaging the culture.
As spiritual leaders, we seek to be a presence for students on campus. In addition to meeting students, faculty and staff for appointments or "drop ins" at our office, we also are a listening ear to the student who comes up to us in the dining hall, in the hallway, coffee shop, food cart or while we are crossing campus.
All are welcome here, regardless of personal history, background, race, age, orientation, etc.. You are invited, welcomed, accepted, loved and respected here at Catholic Campus Ministry!
You can reach us at 508.999.8872. We are located in Room 205 on the second floor of the campus center.

Retreats - UMass Dartmouth is a Charis Ministries Partner location, offering a number of Charis Retreats each year. A Charis Retreat is a peer-oriented retreat for young adults to explore their relationship with God. The Seekers' Retreat is offered in the fall, and the Jesus - Who Do You Say That I Am? Retreat is held in the Spring. In addition to the three day Charis Retreats, we also offer one day retreats and twice annually, we offer the Busy Student's Retreat.
Bible Sharing - These groups provide an opportunity for students to gather weekly with the same group of peers, sharing their faith and reflecting on scripture and the presence of God in your lives.
Small Groups- A Small Group is a group of four to six that gather on a regular schedule—for fellowship, encouragement, spiritual growth and evangelistic outreach.
The Peer Minister Leadership Institute is a five session training program (held in the Spring and early Fall) designed to prepare our student leaders to live out the Gospel message through outreach to the student body.
Catholic Corsair Outreach - Students may enhance and enrich their faith during their time at UMass Dartmouth by getting involved with community outreach through UMass Dartmouth Catholic Campus Ministry. Rooted in Catholic social teaching, our vision for community engagement is to minister to the marginalized in both our local and the greater global community, working toward social justice in all corners of the world. We operate a soup kitchen monthly, and support programs at local Catholic schools, at our parish of St Mary's, My Brother's Keeper as well as on campus food pantry.
