What do we know about bilingual language acquisition, in particular the acquisition of a heritage language? What are the facts and what are myths about bilingualism?
This talk addresses the development of bilingualism in childhood by presenting and discussing the findings of ongoing research on language development in multilingual settings and showing that bilingual language acquisition is a natural process of language development.
