NUR 684: Pract Glob Pub Hlth Nur Prac

Prerequisite: NUR 681

A capstone experience designed to demonstrate synthesis, integration, and application of the student's accumulated knowledge and skills. Students select a global public health practice area for in-depth exploration and assessment of population needs, including needs of diverse learners. Focus is placed on the development of a guided scholarly capstone project in global public health practice based on theoretical knowledge, literature synthesis, proceeding through an implementation phase and concluding with an analytical outcomes evaluation. The project is supported by the integration of principles from multiple disciplines including education, business, and nursing and concludes with development of a final product. A seminar component provides a forum for reflection and discussion of critical issues.
