  1. Select “Submit an Inquiry”
  2. Select “I am a prospective or former student, parent, or someone else”
  3. Supply your First and Last Name
  4. Fill out your email address
  5. Choose a topic (select Other)
  6. Choose more detail (select Other, if available)
  7. Please elaborate on your request (I am registering as a guest student.
  8. Please see the attached transcript demonstrating I meet course prereqs)
  9. Attach file if necessary (Attach your unofficial transcript)

You may reach out to the course instructor if you have questions or need to obtain a syllabus if it’s not posted on the OCE website. Instructor contact information may be found on our staff directory.

No. You will be billed for the course(s) you registered for, and payment is due 30 days after charges are assessed. This billing information may be viewed in your COIN account, under Student Account Summary. (Note: You will not be removed from class due to lack of payment. Please refer to FRA, Financial Responsibility Agreement. Students must drop their course(s) by established deadlines on the OCE academic calendar, should they decide not to participate).

You will receive an e-bill for your course charges. Kindly note, you will not be removed from class due to lack of payment and are responsible for course charges if you do not drop your class(es) by established deadlines on the Online & Continuing Education academic calendar. E-bills are delivered via email on or around the 5th of each month and will display a due date of the 1st for the following month. After you receive your original e-bill, reminders about paying your tuition will be sent on or around the 5th of each month.

To view/pay your e-bill:

  1. Open COIN for Students
  2. Click on “Finance and Financial Aid”
  3. Click on “Student Financial Center”
  4. Click on “Account Summary”
  5. This will open a new page. Select “See Details” under Account Activity to access all your bills/breakdowns

If you have questions regarding billing or payment, please contact the Student Service Center (SSC).

If you would prefer to mail a check, please note your student ID in the memo section and send to:

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
Attn: Student Service Center (SSC)
285 Old Westport Road
Dartmouth, MA 02747-2300

You may request an official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse. This will ensure expedient processing and receipt of your request. There are no additional charges for official, electronic copies. Official paper copies via USPS are available for a small fee.

Review additional information regarding UMass Dartmouth transcripts (official & unofficial).

Questions regarding this process may be addressed by the Registrar's office.

You would need to verify if credits earned at UMass Dartmouth would be accepted toward your program at your home institution. UMass Dartmouth is an accredited University, but you must check with your current college to confirm if transfer credit will be accepted.

You will have access to course content via myCourses on the first day of class. If you try to access it earlier than the first day, you may receive an error message.

Registration is not automatic. You will be added to your Online & Continuing Education (OCE) course(s) by staff at the Student Service Center (SSC). SSC staff will create an account for you and add you to your course(s) of interest. You may reach out to the SSC to confirm the receipt of your DocuSign and ask when you should expect to be added to your course. Sending an email to student.service@umassd.edu will create a ticket for your question to be addressed.

UMass Dartmouth uses COIN (Corsairs Online Information), a similar system to UMass Boston (WISER) and UMass Lowell (Sis).

Since you are currently or have previously been a UMass Boston or UMass Lowell student, you may have to 'toggle' between campuses to access your UMassD course(s) and billing information. Once you receive information about account activation and successfully activate, you may follow the toggle steps provided below (Note: Always log out completely and potentially clear cache for the change to be effective):

  • Go to COIN for Students
  • Personal Information
  • User Preferences
  • Institution = UMass Dartmouth
  • Click SAVE
  • Log out and back into COIN
