U.S. News & World Report ranks UMass Dartmouth's psychology program among the top 1/4th in the nation
The U.S. News & World Report's 2025 College Rankings designated UMass Dartmouth's undergraduate psychology program as being the 164th best out of 681 qualifying U.S. institutions.
A 70-spot improvement from last year's rankings, that places the College of Arts & Sciences' largest major among the top 25% of programs in the country and ties the University of New Hampshire as the fifth highest-ranked program among public universities in New England and the third highest-ranked program at a public university in Massachusetts.
According to U.S. News, the undergraduate psychology rankings were based on peer assessment surveys. To appear on these surveys, programs must have awarded a medium to large number of bachelor's degrees in psychology.
More than 95% of psychology majors in the class of 2023 were employed within six months of graduation. UMassD psychology majors are eligible for accelerated 4+1 master's degrees in teaching or psychology research.
