Corsairs play Trinity College at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7
The NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Committee has announced the field of 64 teams that will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship. UMass Dartmouth will face off against Trinity College (Conn.) in the opening round, hosted by New York University (NYU) in New York, N.Y.
The Corsairs will make just their third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, where they will face off with the Bantam on Friday, March 7, at 5:00 p.m. from the John A. Paulson Center. Hosts NYU will battle Gallaudet University in the following contest of the day with a 7:30 p.m. tipoff time.

Under the guidance of head coach Matt Ducharme, in his 11th season at the helm, the Corsairs have a 23-4 overall record this season, having gone 14-2 in conference action to secure the top seed in the Little East Tournament. UMass Dartmouth hosted fifth-seeded Keene State College for the LEC Semifinals on February 27, defeating the Owls 66-54 to set up the championship game against the University of Southern Maine. The Corsairs came out firing, generating a double-digit lead early in the contest, before capturing their first-ever Little East Conference Championship title in program history by a final score of 94-50 over the Huskies.
The Corsairs have continued to be a dominant force in the Little East, leading the league in a number of categories, including total points (2,142), average points per game (79.3), field goals made (781), field goals percentage (43.1), three-point field goals made (240), three-point field goals percentage (34.3), average three-point field goals made (8.9), total team rebounds (1,139), and total defensive rebounds (817).
Among the Division III leaders, UMass Dartmouth ranks eighth in three statistical categories, including total points (2,142), scoring offense (79.3), and three-pointers per game (8.9). The Corsairs are also ranked 19th in scoring margin (18.9) and 18th in three-point percentage (34.4) while also sitting 24th in defensive rebounds per game (30.3).
Individually, graduate student forward Carly Whiteside is 24th in field goal percentage (54.6). Additionally, graduate student guard Jane McCauley sits 27th in total three-pointers (70) and 33rd in three-pointers per game (2.59), while graduate student captain Teja Andrews ranks 40th in total steals (75).
Numerous Corsairs lead the Little East across multiple categories, including Whiteside with her 54.6 field goal percentage. She also ranks in the top five in several other categories, including total points (400), points per game (15.4), field goals made (142), free throws made (98), free throw percentage (80.3), total rebounds (206), rebounds per game (7.9), blocked shots (34), and blocked shots per game (1.3). Andrews leads the conference in total steals (75), steals per game (2.7), and total games played (27) while also sitting ninth in total points (335) and 11th in total minutes played (782). McCauley's 70 made three-pointers sit third overall in the conference, while her 38.0 three-point percentage ranks second in the league.
