Professor Vyas presented at a conference on AI as a use case for blockchain technology.
Professor Anoo Vyas presented a work-in-progress article that deals with the intersection of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property law at the Junior Intellectual Property Scholars’ Association (JIPSA) Workshop in Houston, Texas.
Vyas’ work examines the ability of blockchain to provide provenance and authenticity checks in our brave new world of AI, which makes it easy to propagate false information. Furthermore, his scholarship scrutinizes whether the government has a role to play in blockchain recordkeeping, or whether such governmental blockchain recordkeeping might inappropriately impinge upon liberty interests.
