College of Engineering students selected for the SMART Scholarship receive full tuition, annual stipends, & guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense.
College of Engineering students have recently been selected to receive the SMART Scholarship, a program funded by the Department of Defense (DoD).
The SMART Scholarship program was established to enhance the DoD workforce with talented, innovative, and brilliant scientists, engineers, and researchers, according to the DoD website. SMART scholars enter the program to pursue their education in some of the leading STEM fields currently in high demand by the US Government.
The recipients are:
- Charles Berg ’22 (BS), ’23 (MS), electrical and computer engineering
- Isabella Di Bona ’22 (BS), '23 (MS) electrical engineering
- Christian Fall ’24, computer and electrical engineering
Awardees will receive full tuition, annual stipends, and guaranteed employment with the DoD after graduation.
