2021 2021: Updated timeline for Massachusetts vaccine distribution

Director of Health Services Marianne Sullivan explains the latest updates on the Massachusetts vaccine rollout

Dear UMass Dartmouth Community,

Yesteryda, March 17, 2021, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced a detailed timeline for the continued vaccination effort in the Commonwealth. Specifically, the Governor stated:

• On March 22, Massachusetts residents aged 60+ and public-facing workers (e.g., grocery store employees, sanitation workers) will be eligible to receive vaccines.
• On April 5, Massachusetts residents aged 55+ and residents with one qualifying medical condition will be eligible to receive vaccines.
• On April 19, Massachusetts residents aged 16+ will be eligible to receive vaccines.

Massachusetts residents are encouraged to pre-register for their appointment so they will be notified when they can book their actual vaccination appointment. Appointments will be offered based on eligibility and available appointments nearby.
