Acting Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Preble provides updates to students about the vaccination requirement
Dear Students,
We look forward to welcoming you back to campus for the Fall 2021 semester soon! As you know, UMass Dartmouth is requiring all residential and commuter students who will attend in-person classes, live in one of our residence halls, or use any campus facility to be fully vaccinated against COVID by August 28. If you are one of the thousands of students who have already uploaded your record of COVID vaccination to the Health Services Patient Portal, thank you!
If you haven’t yet gotten vaccinated or applied for an exemption, you need to act immediately to ensure that your fall semester starts smoothly. If you are fully vaccinated and just haven’t uploaded your information, please do so right away to avoid delayed processing due to anticipated high volume closer to the deadline.
We will do our best to assist students who have not met the requirement on time. However, students who do not intend to comply will not be able to continue attending classes beyond the Add/Drop period.
For more information on COVID vaccinations, visit the Commonwealth’s vaccine informational website. For information on how to upload your vaccination record to the Health Services Patient Portal, please review our upload guide.
Sincerely,
Mark Preble
Deputy Chancellor / Acting Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
