On Friday, April 23rd, join UMass Dartmouth’s College of Visual and Performing Arts to experience a live stream event: Festival of Light and Fashion. Interior Architecture + Design (IA+D) and Fashion Design Students have joined forces to bring a unique experience to the Vietnam Veterans Peace Memorial Amphitheater on the UMass Dartmouth campus. IA+D students will work with industry professionals from Boston Light Source and Lumenpulse to transform the exterior of the Claire T. Carney Library and the Amphitheater with light, as well as illuminating the runway for 6 collections developed by the Fashion Design Students. Each lighting plan will suit the unique visions of the fashion designers as they present their collections, developed alongside mentors from companies such as New Balance, DXL, Birch Outfitters, and US Army: Natick Soldier System Center. This collaborative partnership between industry and academia will provide a dynamic and illuminating experience that is not to be missed!
