Deputy Chancellor / Acting Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Mark Preble provides details about vaccinaation opportunities on campus
Dear UMassD Students,
In my July 2 email, I explained that UMass Dartmouth is requiring all residential and commuter students who will attend in-person classes or use any campus facility to be fully vaccinated and upload the record of vaccination to the Health Services Patient Portal before the start of the fall semester.
Many of you have already submitted your records and I thank you for acting quickly to protect yourself and others by getting vaccinated.
If you have not had the opportunity to be vaccinated yet, UMass Unions United in collaboration with the University are pleased to announce that a Vaccine Van Clinic will take place this Friday, July 9 at Woodland Commons. Both Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be administered by a medical professional.
If you would like to participate and receive your vaccination, please register as soon as possible at the RSVP link. It is important for you to register, as there will only be limited availability for walk-ins.
Please note that you will see two dates listed. If you are requesting the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you can choose either date. If you are requesting the double-dose Pfizer vaccine, you should select July 9 so you can receive your second dose on campus on July 30.
If you are a Massachusetts resident and fully vaccinated, don’t forget to register for the Massachusetts VaxMillions Giveaway for a chance to win a million dollars!
If you have any questions, please contact corona.virus@umassd.edu.
Sincerely,
Mark Preble
Deputy Chancellor / Acting Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
