Join us for this special Corsair Chat with UMassD's very own astronaut, Scott Tingle '87. Scott is a U.S. Navy Captain and served as a flight engineer on the International Space Station for the Expedition 54/55. He will share his experience living and working in low-Earth orbit for 168 days on the Space Station and take questions from the virtual audience.

About Scott Tingle
Scott is a 1987 graduate of the College of Engineering, majoring in mechanical engineering. He holds a Master of Science in mechanical engineering with a specialty in fluid mechanics and propulsion from Purdue University. Following graduate school, Captain Tingle spent three years with the Aerospace Corporation, El Segundo, California, as a member of technical staff in their Propulsion Department. He was commissioned as a naval officer in 1991. He was selected by NASA in 2009, and most recently served as Flight Engineer on the International Space Station for Expedition 54/55.
