Panelists include alumnae engineers representing leading companies
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) will present a “Women in Engineering” panel discussion on Thursday, November 29, that will include career advice from alumnae engineers.
According to SWE President and event moderator Abigail Keith, the event is designed for female engineering students to learn about careers in engineering, including what to expect as a professional engineer, how to prepare for a career, and how to succeed.
Following a one-hour question-and-answer session, students will have the opportunity to talk with panelists during a reception to learn more about their engineering fields and their careers.
Panelists will include Catherine Duncan ’15 and Allie Goodman of Lockheed Martin, Meghan Noonan ’13 of Hasbro, Taila D’Ambruoso ’17 of CR Bard, and Laura Aruajo ’88 of 4G Clinical. UMass Dartmouth Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Liudong Xing will also speak.
The event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Woodland Commons.
