On election eve, the university will bring together experts to discuss the three initiatives on the 2018 Massachusetts ballot
UMass Dartmouth will host, “Get Informed: 2018 MA Ballot Questions Forum” on November 5 at noon in the Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Grand Reading Room, Claire T. Carney Library. The event will engage students and the public by focusing on the three ballot questions Massachusetts voters will decide on Tuesday. The issues of healthcare, campaign finances, and transgender rights will be discussed.
Panelists include Michael Goodman, Professor and Executive Director of the Public Policy Center; John Quinn, Assistant Dean of Public Interest Law at UMass Law; Juli Parker, Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Center for Women, Gender & Sexuality; and Marianne Sullivan, Assistant Director of Health Services.
The event is sponsored by NAACP UMass Dartmouth College Chapter; Student Activities, Involvement and Leadership office; Leduc Center for Civic Engagement; Center for Women, Gender, & Sexuality; Frederick Douglass Unity House; Black History 4 Seasons; and MASSPIRG.
