Series of events planned to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities on how to prevent it
UMass Dartmouth's Center for Women, Gender & Sexuality (CWGS) has organized a series of events in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month this April. The goal of Sexual Assault Awareness Month is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities on how to prevent it.
Originally founded in 1970 as the Women's Center, CWGS is a voice for women and the LGBTQIA+ community, with the purpose of eliminating barriers, diminishing prejudices, and creating a supportive climate and space for all.
