Public interest mission
Megan Beyer is the first student from UMass Law to be accepted as a Rappaport fellow. The public interest fellowship chooses twelve law students a year from the Greater Boston area. Megan applied for the fellowship because of its public interest mission, which was also a deciding factor when she applied to UMass Law.
“Ever since I was little, I always wanted to be a lawyer so I could help people,” Megan said. “I truly believe that UMass Law has that mission in mind.”
After being accepted to all of the eight law schools that she applied, Megan decided to attend UMass Law. “I chose UMass Law because I truly think we’re on the rise and we’re going to do great things,” she said.
