Alumni returned to campus to join conversation on innovation March 8
UMass Dartmouth's College of Engineering welcomed five alumni to campus on Tuesday, March 8 for an Alumni Innovation Panel. Graduating seniors completing their Capstone Senior Design projects across disciplines spent time listening to seasoned alumni share their career stories and thoughts on innovation in the field of engineering.
Alumni who joined the conversation on innovation include:
Attorney Colonel Don Mofford '81 (Engineering), Firm of Daly, Crowley, Mofford & Durkee
Attorney Jen McCabe’85 (Engineering), former Lead Counsel for Shark Ninja, Inc.
Sanford Russell '82 (Business), Senior Director, ADAS and Autonomous Driving Ecosystem, NVIDIA
John Guarino '95 (Engineering), Deputy Director of Mechanical Engineering, Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems
Steven Lemmo ’82 (Engineering), Director/Manager MNE & ECE Departments & Senior Project Manager, Halliwell Engineering Associates
College of Engineering Associate Dean Dr. Ram Bala moderated the panel discussion. Students learned about the unique highs and lows that these chosen leaders in their fields have experienced. By definition innovation is synonymous with initiative and risk—only the very few can speak to success in terms of invention and commercialization.
