UMass Dartmouth to celebrate installation of large outdoor mural October 21

Today crews finished installing the frame that will support a large outdoor mural coming to the UMass Dartmouth campus. The installation of the mural will begin bright and early Monday, October 19.
The UMass Dartmouth community will come together to celebrate the installation of the mural on the west facing facade of the University's Campus Center, a high profile location on the main campus, at 4 p.m., Wednesday, October 21.

The unveiling of mural is the latest initiative in the campus-wide Living Gallery Project designed to re-imagine the university as an artistic and architectural destination. The mural dimensions will be approximately 48x12 ft.
In May of last year the university announced that Muralist Angelina Marino Heidel and Collaborating Artist Joel Heidel of Marino Heidel Studios had been chosen as the finalist team for the UMass Dartmouth Mural Art Project following a national search.
