UMass Dartmouth is collecting votes for 'Top 50 Transformative Moments' in celebration of 50 years in Dartmouth
While UMass Dartmouth's proud history dates back to 1895, 50 years ago, on June 14, 1964, civic and education leaders broke ground in Dartmouth to create Paul Rudolph's 710-acre architectural vision of an academic utopia. Now, in 2014, as the Town of Dartmouth is celebrating its 350th anniversary, UMass Dartmouth is celebrating its 50th in the town. In recognition, the University will be collecting votes for the 'Top 50 Transformative Moments' over the past 50 years.
Transformative moments include milestones or significant accomplishments having taken place in the past 50 years, which have had lasting influence, and the impact of which can still be felt today. Students, faculty, alumni and the entire University community are encouraged to place their votes at www.umassd.edu/Top50.
Votes will be accepted until October 26. The results '50 Transformative Moments' will be announced on November 14, 2014.
