UMass Dartmouth's Ora M. DeJesus Gerontology Center to Host Careers in Aging Week Panel Discussion
Discussion on "Careers in the Growing Field of Aging and Health" Takes Place April 7
UMass Dartmouth's Ora M. DeJesus Gerontology Center has been awarded a grant from the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) to host a Careers in Aging Week event, Monday, April 7, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the Claire T. Carney Library Grand Reading Room. The panel discussion on "Careers in the Growing Field of Aging and Health" will bring together community members from the areas of medicine, nursing, psychology, and social work.
Careers in Aging Week (CIAW) is an annual occurrence during the month of April intended to bring greater awareness and visibility to the wide-ranging career opportunities in aging and related research. Universities and colleges across the globe take part by sponsoring events at their schools or in their communities.
AGHE is the international leader in advancing education on aging and is committed to its mission in advancing gerontology and geriatrics education in academic institutions and providing leadership and support of gerontology and geriatrics education faculty and students.
