Chancellor Grossman and Urban Initiative's Colleen Dawicki to offer remarks
UMass Dartmouth will host the 7th annual Women's Fund Leadership Breakfast tomorrow, October 16, 2014, beginning at 8:00 a.m., at the University's Woodland Commons. UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Divina Grossman and UMass Dartmouth's Urban Initiative Project Manager Colleen Dawicki will offer remarks at the Breakfast.
Colleen Dawicki leads the Urban Initiative, a UMass Dartmouth effort that supports Massachusetts cities like Fall River and New Bedford by conducting applied research, providing technical assistance, and informing conversations around urban policy issues.
The Women's Fund hosts an annual breakfast to promote awareness of women's issues and opportunities, providing information, strategies, resources and role models that help women in our community to lead, achieve and succeed.
This year's Leadership Breakfast theme is "Women and Wages: Get Even." The goal is to spark a conversation that will continue into action to create new and widen existing pathways for women out of poverty into self-sufficiency.
