SouthCoast Women Leaders to Discuss Leadership in Transition
UMass Dartmouth Chancellor Divina Grossman will join Dr. Pia Durkin, Superintendant of New Bedford Public Schools and Sarah Herman, Head of School at Our Sisters' School in New Bedford at the Women's Fund's 6th Annual Leadership Breakfast, scheduled for 8:30 to 10 a.m., October 11 at UMass Dartmouth's Woodland Commons. All three leaders, who recently took the helm at SouthCoast educational institutions, will take part in a panel discussion, moderated by State Representative Patricia A. Haddad (D-Somerset), Speaker Pro Tempore of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
"I look forward to a thoughtful, engaging exchange among my fellow educational leaders here on the SouthCoast," said Chancellor Grossman. "Education is power. We are in a unique position and time to move the marker forward in expanding educational and economic opportunity for young women and all those who strive to overcome the barriers before them."
The Women's Fund's 6th Annual Leadership Breakfast invites the community to listen, learn, and actively support its work to advance the educational attainment and economic security of women and girls in the region.
