David received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Maine, Presque Isle in 1970 and his Master of Fine Arts in Photography from UMass Dartmouth in 1991. David's passion for photography was extended through his teachings at Westport High School and later at CVPA. He lived a vivid and multifarious life and engaged in professions that spanned from commercial sword fishing to newspaper journalism.
"Through photography's wonderfully malleable nature, I attempt to express the mystery and magic that I feel about this all too brief excursion. Perhaps the images that I leave behind will prompt someone else to wonder...for a short time at least, before the photographs themselves accede to Time's terms."- David Allen
