The two performances of The Vagina Monologues held at the UMass Dartmouth Main Auditorium on February 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. are part of the V-Day global movement to increase awareness about worldwide violence against women and girls. The program is meant to generate attention and provide funds to create and nurture innovative programs to stop the violence.
UMass Dartmouth Women's Center is involved in the V-Day College Campaign which invites members of college and university communities around the world to present benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues on their campuses on or around V-Day (February 14th).
Admission is $5 students; $8 faculty, staff and alumni; $10 general public. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The Main Auditorium is located on the UMass Dartmouth Main Campus, 285 Old Westport Road. Parking is in lots 4 & 5.
The UMass Dartmouth event is sponsored by UMass Dartmouth Women's Resource Center, 20 Cent Fiction, and the Theatre Company.
