The UMass Dartmouth English Department will sponsor a screening of the highly rated documentary on children's literature, Library of the Early Mind: A Documentary Film Exploring Children's Literature.
The documentary features writers and illustrators of children's literature, including Gregory Maguire, Lemony Snicket, Natalie Babbitt, Lois Lowry, R.L. Stine, and more. It is a feature-length documentary film about children's literature directed by Edward J. Delaney and produced by Delaney and Steven Withrow. The film is intended for festival release in 2010.

Edward J Delaney is an award-winning author, journalist, and filmmaker. Delaney directed and produced a documentary film, The Times Were Never So Bad: The Life of Andre Dubus, which premiered in 2007.
Steven Withrow is a poet, playwright, fiction writer, teacher, and author of six instructional books meant for visual artists and storytellers: Toon Art, Webcomics, Character Design for Graphic Novels, Vector Graphics and Illustration, Secrets of Digital Animation, and Illustrating Children's Picture Books.
