ExamSoft
The FAQs regarding ExamSoft will be updated periodically.
Please note that, starting in fall 2025, all exams will be administered on the Surpass exam platform, the platform on which the NextGen Bar Exam will be administered. Your laptop must meet the minimum laptop requirements (see below). Students who need to purchase a compliant laptop may be able to include that expense in their financial aid cost of attendance, see the policies available at https://www.umassd.edu/law/admissions/financial-aid/

Minimum Laptop Requirements (updated 2/28/25)
Windows
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
- Processor: 1.80 GHZ
- Memory/RAM: 4GB
- Hard Drive/Disk Space: 1GB
- Graphics Memory: 64MB
- Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 pixel
Apple
- Operating System: MacOS 14.x.x or higher (Sonoma or Sequoia), 64-bit only
- Memory/RAM: 4GB
- Hard Drive/Disk Space: 250MB
- Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels
Note: tablets such as iPads are not sufficient. Celeron CPUs not supported.
