Capabilities & Facilities
One of the primary objectives of UMass Dartmouth's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) is to provide the environment and infrastructure necessary to help early-stage companies and innovative ideas grow and mature.
We take pride in our uniquely equipped facilities that allow us to support start-ups and well-established companies with prototype development and biotechnology and biopharmaceutical develpment.

Environmental Chemistry Lab
Our Environmental Chemistry Laboratory is established to provide the needed resources to link the University's mission with industry's technology needs.

Our Biomanufacturing Laboratory is equipped with the resources to provide education and workforce development for biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries, as well as support established and start-up companies for process and product development.

Mechanical Prototyping Lab
Our Mechanical Prototyping Laboratory works with customers to help refine your design, build your assembly, and provide you with the drawings and documentation necessary prior to final manufacturing. We can work in metal, plastic, sheet metal or a combination.
