In the summer of 2014, Lauren Scharf, was selected to participate in the competitive Andrew W. Mellon Internship Program at the RISD Museum, where she worked in the Contemporary Art Department. Her core internship project focused on a reorganization of the department’s time-based new media collection, which included conducting a complete physical inventory, updating each object’s digital record in the collection management software MuseumPlus, and writing brief interpretive summaries of each work to be turned into future exhibition labels.
