CONFIRMED: UMass General Counsel and Supreme Judicial Court Judge David Lowy

Justice Lowy, a Peabody native, graduated from Boston University School of Law. He was a law clerk in the U.S. District Court, an ADA in Essex and Suffolk Counties, and served as Debuty Legal Counselor to Governor William F. Weld. While on the bench, Justice Lowy taught at New England Law, Suffolk Law, and Boston University School of Law. As of last year, he now serves as General Counsel of the five-campus UMass system and as Strategic Advisor for Law Education & Adjunct Professor at UMass Law.
