ECE PhD student Mr. Yang Liu won the best student presentation award at the IEEE Underwater Acoustic Signal Processing Workshop held 4-6 October 2017. Yang's winning presentation was "Spatial Correlation Resampling for Wideband Source Enumeration and Direction-of-Arrival Estimation on Sparse Arrays." Yang's research was sponsored by an Office of Naval Research grant to his advisor Prof. John R. Buck.
