EAGER - performance modeling approach
Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dr. Honggang Wang (Sole PI) received a new National Science Foundation (NSF) research grant to develop A Cross-layer End-to-End Performance Modeling Approach for Large-Scale Random Wireless Networks with Node Cooperative Behavior. The award titled " NeTS: A Cross-layer End-to-End Performance Modeling Approach for Large-Scale Random Wireless Networks with Node Cooperative Behavior" was awarded by the Networking Technology and Systems (NeTS) program of NSF and is for two years from October 2014 through September 2016. The total award amount is $109K.
This project conducts end-to-end performance analysis of large scale Random Wireless Networks (RWN) in the presence of node cooperation. It aims at estimating and optimizing the performance of multi-layer-designed RWN to meet the required quality of service prior to network deployment. The success of this project can significantly advance RWN design and deployment, improve quality of service, capacity, and coverage of the next generation wireless networks.
Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2009. In 2009, he joined the ECE department as an assistant professor.
