ECE Professors Honored by Acoustical Society

The Acoustical Society of America recently elected ECE Professors David A. Brown and John R. Buck as Fellows of the society. Prof. Brown's nomination citation recognized him "For contributions to fiber-optic and piezoelectric transduction science, and leadership in acoustics education." Prof. Buck's citation recognized him "For contributions to applications of random matrix and information theory in acoustic signal processing and bioacoustics." Both professors will be officially recognized and receive their certificate of fellowship on 7 May 2014 at the Spring 2014 meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Providence RI. Professors Brown and Buck conduct research on acoustics and signal processing, and are active advisors in the ECE graduate program
