Deborah Majewski was appointed Vice Chancellor of Human Resources in February 2022. This role reports directly to the Chancellor, and serves as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet, providing leadership to the campus on wide-scale organizational development initiatives, including leadership and management development, coaching, customer service, and change management. In this role Deb provides leadership and direction to HR Business Partners, as well as the HR Centers of Excellence for talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee benefits. Deb manages and supports the assessment of campus climate and organizational needs, the implementation of programs that facilitate organizational development and learning, and performance management.

Deb began her tenure with UMass Dartmouth in 2006 and has been a part of the UMass Dartmouth community for over 15 years. Prior to being appointed Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, Deb served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources. Before she joined the HR Team, Deb served the UMass Dartmouth campus as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with a focus on compliance, ADA, Title IX, EEO, and supporting an inclusive campus community.

Deb has over 25 years’ experience in management, leadership, employee relations/training, and dispute resolution in the federal and private sectors. Deb holds an MBA with a focus in Organizational Leadership, a Bachelor’s Degree in Crime and Justice Studies, and is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.
