Biography

Taylor Lamoureux is a passionate, young designer. From an early age, Taylor has always been creating and exploring different mediums in art and design. With an eager desire to create, she has explored areas like illustration, animation, web design, and of course graphic design. She loves to find ways to combine and experiment with these different mediums to create something new. Her work focuses around attention to detail and exploring a variety of ways to create successful pieces because why stop at just one? 

Statement

My work reflects my passion for individuality, personality, and creating art that’s one step in a different direction from the rest. Makeup is its own form of art, I wanted to design a product that stands out and inspires others to create with it. The brand I’ve created, Bloom Beauty, is a floral themed makeup company. The eyeshadow collection created by the brand contains a set of five different eyeshadow palettes, each themed after a different type of flower. The palettes are themed after the sunflower, rose, lilac, marigold & water lily.

The inspiration for the project came from my interest in how much one can create through makeup. It is a way of exerting creativity, self-expression and just a great way of having freedom to do what you would like with it. I also was driven to create unique packaging for a makeup product that pushes the boundaries of what one would typically see in the beauty industry. This project is woven together by my personal interest towards makeup and how it can be combined with art and design.
