Statement
My board game, Robin’s Nest, draws mostly on story, character, and the social interaction between players. Robin’s Nest is a dice-and-card board game reliant on how players interact, cooperate, and/or compete with one another, the board, and the pieces in order to earn the most points. It centers on the legend of Robin Hood for mechanics, play style, and character groups.
After I graduate, I plan to continue working in board game development as well as creative writing. I take great interest in how stories and games bring people together and drive social interactions. This portion of the game development field gives me the perfect opportunity to explore character design - both visual and story-based - 3D modeling, 3D fabrication, prototyping, and storytelling with a hyper-social platform.
