Art + Design: Animation & Game Arts
Biography
In 2016, I graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School after four years of studying videography, 3D modeling, 2D and 3D animation, character design, storyboarding, photography, film, news production, and basic illustration. Afterwards, I wanted to continue my education in this field and decided Digital Media, now Animation and Game Arts, was my best option. Since then, I’ve improved with 3D modeling, 2D and 3D animation, character design, storyboarding and honed-in on new skills such as game design, environment design, storytelling, art history, and more.
Statement
Ever since I was introduced to the world of art, I always found animation and 2D illustration to be the most intriguing. To think that a collection of pixels on a screen could come together and tell a story is pretty astounding. It was this method of storytelling that inspired me to create Project: Reverse, a visual novel demo for my senior capstone. During this trial run, players will follow Abbott and his unusual day on the island of Dekoma. While creating Project: Reverse, I was able to strengthen my game design skills and receive first-hand experience on what it’s like to be part of a game studio. For this demo, I used Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Unity, and Procreate. I’d like to thank the incredibly supportive faculty of AGA for assisting me in making this personal goal a reality. After graduation, my plan is to continue working with video games, tabletop, and more.
