About Wesley Araujo

Wesley is a graphic designer and screen printer from Massachusetts. From an early age, Wesley had an interest in anything creative, regularly creating perspective drawings of the front of classrooms in elementary and middle school. He attended Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he would enroll in the Graphic Communication field and find a passion in graphic design and printmaking. While enrolled, they would challenge themselves creatively in competitions such as SkillsUSA and the PINE’s Award of Excellence. He would spend most of his free time designing and playing video games with his friends.

Statement

Screen printing has become a huge part of my creative outlet in life. Beyond being a contract printer, I choose to spend a lot of my free time designing apparel for myself and friends to wear. The clothing we choose to wear is a statement about ourselves and what we enjoy. When I design apparel for myself, I feel much more creatively fulfilled. The apparel is my canvas where I can put whatever I’m thinking about down and wear it for everyone to see.

As a result, I decided to use this opportunity to create a professional brand that will be the host of my creative endeavors. A host of all my designs that anyone can purchase if they are interested in what I’m doing. I wanted this brand to be my professional creative outlet, somewhere I can display my art of the silly doodles I come up with or the people and community around me.

Blockout Threads is an apparel company that produces apparel collections that are sold online. To anyone who likes silly, fun, and charismatic designs, Blockout Threads has it in stock. The creative ventures don’t stop at just the online collections, as Blockout Threads is heavily invested in the community around it. Pop-up shops at events that sell area specific designs tailored to the people it caters to. Not only offering its own designs, but its services to businesses who want to promote through apparel.
