About Marisa Borges

Marisa Borges is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in Rhode Island. Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Marisa is set to graduate in May 2024. Her portfolio highlights her expertise in brand identity, package design, patternmaking, product design, typography, and illustration. Marisa's work is characterized by its playfulness, vibrant colors, illustrative flair, and eclectic style. While she initially explored traditional mediums, her time at UMass Dartmouth has allowed her to expand and refine her digital design skills. Outside of design, Marisa finds joy in listening to music, spending quality time with friends and family, and sharing cozy cuddles with her beloved cat, Kato.

Statement

Love Note Studio is a heartfelt stationary and gifting company dedicated to infusing warmth and personal touch into every product through the art of illustration, collage, and color. From birthdays to anniversaries, I've long delighted in crafting handmade cards for family and friends since the age of 10, witnessing the joy they bring firsthand. There's something truly special about receiving a card that was crafted with effort, and love. Inspired by this passion, I've centered my capstone project around creating a distinctive brand identity for Love Note Studio, while also crafting all the card designs, illustrations, and patterns. This project not only showcases my design skills but also allows me to share my personal love for illustration with the world. The name "Love Note" embodies the essence of sending heartfelt messages to those we care about, while "Note" subtly nods to our dedication to paper products and the personal touch inherent in each design. Welcome to Love Note Studio, where every gift is a heartfelt expression of love and connection.
