About Stephannie Marie Vallee

Although she will be graduating with a BFA in the Animation & Game Arts concentration, Stephannie Marie Vallee is a Graphic Designer with additional experience in the topics of Illustration. She hopes to utilize her arsenal of college experience to create interactive and eye-catching designs for many to see. After college, Stephannie plans to go into a field of User-Interface Design.

Statement

For my capstone project, I wanted to learn more about UI Design in a common form that we always have at our fingertips. I’ve worked with UI Design before through Augmented Reality with a team of colleagues, but it was nothing like this. Working with AdobeXD and app design as a capstone project was a big shift for me because I had to understand how to self-manage myself and my goals for the project; I had to learn the basic functions of Adobe XD and navigate my way around this new, unfamiliar program. It taught me that, the more experience you get in these digital production programs, the more you can understand how to utilize the functions you’re given to come up with creative solutions that work. It’s funny sometimes because the creative solutions can even make you feel like you’re cheating because you end up finding something that works easier and more effectively than what you were trying before.
