About Kassidey Star
Kassidey Star is a graduating senior of the Interior Architecture and Design program here at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is always finding ways to embrace and express her creativity, especially within design. During her time as a student Kassidey has found a passion for residential and hospitality design and hopes to continue to impact the spaces around us.
Statement
My senior thesis focuses on the boutique hotel experience with the redesign of the infamous Marion Davies Beach House in Santa Monica California. While most of the structure was demolished in the 1950’s, the residence is remembered as an extravagant celebrity beach house with lavish Hollywood parties. The remodel will become the ultimate experience for guests, capturing elements of luxury and glamour as they relate to the concept of kaleidoscope.
