Statement
Ryan started skiing when he was 13 years old and has gone every winter since. When researching for this project he came across a real mountain that was for sale in the town of Plymouth, Vermont. As he did research on the area he found that it had been run as a private ski area for many years under different names. Such as Round Top and Bear mountain.
Over time the mountain has become known as Plymouth Notch through my project. Through careful research and planning I've developed the logo that resembles the journey a skier takes up and down the mountain. The custom rental skis created with the mountain’s identity help distinguish others skis and their own. A map based on the mountain’s original name Bear Mountain, was created in order to get an accurate depiction of the area. The slogan of the mountain “SNOW OR SHINE” is depicted on the shirts and commercials for the ski area in order to show off the idea that the mountain is available for skiing all year round.
