About Corryn Jorge

Corryn Jorge is an Illustration major from New Bedford, Massachusetts. She always says color is key. Corryn has been interested in drawing since she was a toddler, she started her illustration journey as an Animation Motion Graphics major at Bristol Community College. After receiving her Associates Degree, she transferred to UMass Dartmouth to pursue Illustration. Corryn has a knack for combining things that are creepy and cute making it a different style between the two opposites.

Statement

The topic selected for this exhibition is the study of the stages of grief through a heartbreak. You fight to hold onto a relationship to the point it consumes you. You don’t want to believe it’s actually ending. You can’t. Even if the relationship was awful, even insufferable, the idea of living without it is terrible. This piece will show the different interpretations of each emotion that one goes through when they experience heartbreak.
