About Xinyi Pang

Pang is a contemporary jewelry designer who is dedicated to creating metal works. She received a degree in jewelry design from an American University, majoring in jewelry design and craft production. From 2020 to 21021, she made her own works in China's first gold factory and engaged in creative design positions in the company

Statement

I have a different vision from others, which comes from my talent. I love to observe life and the world. So my works are mostly inspired by my unique observation of life and the world. For example, I capture the elements of the world and develop them into unique pieces. So the design of my works does not have a framework, they come from nature and the world and not be easily defined. Therefore, I want to fully integrate the viewer into my work through the strong influence of my work. At the same time, I hope that the power of my works is to make people calm down for a period of time, and then bring the audience into the whole artistic environment so that people could feel the significance and influence of the whole work on them.

Most of the materials used in my works are metal. But in the production process, I prefer to use Wax Carving and 3D Modeling to realize my works. After my piece was cast, I add other craft ideas, such as some effects and details in my works, such as some texture, adding stone, and enameling. Through these craft methods, my whole work becomes complete and powerful, which can better express my design and thought, and also make the whole work more infectious. I believe my works are always new, unique, and long-term and make people could feel different when they see my peace at different times and ages.
