About Margo Rego
Margo Rego is a graphic designer and illustrator who utilizes her passions of hand drawn lettering, typography, organic forms, and bold colors in her work. This spring she will graduate from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Margo is New Bedford native who found her artistic influence through the city’s various displays of public art, its rich history, it’s emphasis on local artists, and her Father’s abstract paintings.
Statement
Margo was introduced to rock climbing in 2015 and quickly immersed herself into the sport and its culture. She has worked in the industry for six years and has gained an expansive knowledge of branding and marketing relating to the sport. Margo’s long-term goal is to open her own indoor rock-climbing facility, and this goal is the focus of her capstone. Over the course of the last five months, Margo has researched and developed Indigo Climbing Gym - a new spin on indoor rock-climbing facilities that places an emphasis on creative branding, art, and the diverse community that makes up the sport of rock climbing.
