Art + Design: Animation + Game Arts
About Anna Urdi
Anna is a game designer from Raynham, Massachusetts. They originally studied graphic design for four years at Bristol Plymouth Regional Highschool and found a passion for design. However, graphic design didn't feel like the right output for this creativity. At UmassD Anna found their passion for Game Design and has pursued it ever since. With a love of roguelike games and ttrpg they design for originality and player creativity.
Statement
Anna’s Capstone is an armory of weapons with stat blocks for 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons. Some of the weapons have also been 3D modeled instead of having illustrations. These weapons focus on themes of creating unique effects that do not already exist in 5e as well as new conditions. An example of a new condition is a weapon that has bonus effects for a specific subclass that give the weapon a special feel.
The intended outcome is to give players items that can add individuality and creative outputs for their characters. Also to allow them items that provide fun and interesting effects that can both provide interesting effects and allow for new paths to follow. Anna hopes to pursue this type of design in future works.
